What I'm about to tell you might shock you. I came to Shake shack for the first time ever in my life. I know, I know, how in the world have I never been? Here's the thing. As a vegetarian, it can't be very hard to find the perfect burger spot, especially a fast food kind of chain don't get me wrong, there are some places that can make a quick impossible burger, and they're just that impossibly average. I had been hesitant to try other places (I also generally don't go into fast food places, even though the burger spot wasn't fast at all). I hadn't ever looked at the menu to begin with, but being that we were here by the mall and we're about to go into some stores, we knew going in Hangry wouldn't be a smart choice. We for sure chose the better portion: eat before you get mad at each other and take it out. I'm not finding anything at the stores lol! When we walked into the shake shack, it was pretty packed and almost impossible to find seating. That already was a thumbs up for me. Me and my husband are both vegetarian so he went for the impossible burger and I went for the fried mushroom burger with truffle sauce. That first bite was incredible and extra crunchy from that crispy mushroom batter. We also ordered the truffle sauce with our fries, but sadly, I'd give those fries two if I could. not only were they not warm at all they were cold, not crispy, and just not flattering at all. I'm usually more of a classic cut, curly, or waffle fry kind of girl so I already knew I wouldn't be a fan of the crinkle cut. Had the fries been warm and crispy, it would've been a whole different experience for us. Of course we gulped down our food with a nice and refreshing cold Dr Pepper. I'm not gonna lie, watching everyone with their shakes made me crave one. I'll definitely be ordering one next time and having them make those fries extra crispy and hopefully warm. I will say two burgers, one drink, and a small fry came out to almost $40 which I thought was a bit crazy for a quick burger. Either way, I had an amazing first time experience and I can't believe I had never tried Shake shack up until now. Thanks for an amazing first time, it definitely won't be the last (unless the fries suck again lol).

Shake Shack in West Hartford is ALWAYS hoppin'. Located in a very busy shopping plaza AND across the street from the Westfarms Mall, this Shake Shack attracts large crowds at peak meal times. Finding seating if you choose to eat in might be difficult so i recommend to swing by after the lunch rush. A few other lunch spots opened up in the other spaces that it helped a lot with the lunch crowds. You can alway place a pickup order too. Shake Shack offers made to order burgers, cheese fries, and shakes with house-made custard. The food is always made fresh so there might be a wait or I like to call it "cook time". I love Shake Shack for their vegetarian options, especially for the 'Shroom Burger. The 'Shroom Burger is a crispy, fried portobello mushroom, stuffed with cheeses in the center. There is so much ooey-gooey cheese once you take the first bite. Another great vegetarian option is the Veggie Shack. This is their version of a veggie burger done well with mushrooms, carrots, sweet potato, and protein packed; farro and quinoa. I appreciate that it's not a carb sandwich like most burger places have. It's also topped with cheese, thick, juicy pickles and crispy onions, yum! An order of cheesy fries is always a must too. The sauce tastes fresh and the best when eaten right away warm. This Shake Shack trip, I got the cookies and cream shake. The vanilla custard was creamy and thick with bites of chocolate cookie pieces. They do have seasonal special shakes, but there were unfortunately sold out. I did learn that they have new dairy-free shakes made with NotMilk and will need to try next time. Shake Shack is a little pricey that it's usually a treat for me. I highly recommend giving them a try, experience the hype because you will either fall in love with their burgers and/or shakes.

This was my first time at a Shake Shack. I wanted a milk shake, and I had the small size strawberry shake, it was good. Service was fast, it looked clean, everyone looked happy. Lots of free parking and it's close to the highway and the mall.

This location was great, and the shining star would 100% be their employee Artie. They were super friendly, greeting everyone who walked in the door, and really going the extra mile to bring a smile to everyone's faces. The food was good, though definitely more grease on the chicken than I had expected. Fry's were crispy and copious, and overall a good experience. If it not for Artie, my rating would be a star or two lighter.

Always consistent, this is our go to shake shack when we're in town. Classic smash burger on a brioche bun what more do you want for this American classic? I'm always a sucker for shake shack but this location feels nostalgic because it's usual the first meal we have when all the family is in town. Service is standard nothing terrible or spectacular just your normal fast food establishment with delish burgers and shakes!
